Encrypted calls where your real voice stays yours
ZeroMem (零憶) makes end-to-end encrypted one-to-one and group voice calls on Android and Windows. It also has a voice changer, on by default: what the other side hears and records is not your real voice, and it sounds different on every call.
The risk encryption does not cover
End-to-end encryption keeps a call away from everyone except the person you are talking to. But that person can record the call, and a recording of your voice is enough to imitate you. The voice changer, on by default, changes your voice before it leaves your device, so that recording is not your real voice.
Calls in ZeroMem
- One-to-one and group calls, end-to-end encrypted.
- Group calls inside Circles: small groups encrypted end to end between members.
- One tap during a call turns the voice changer off or on again.
- Calls are not kept on the server.
- On Android, other apps cannot record your calls.
The rest of ZeroMem
- Messages and files travel encrypted between the two devices and live in memory only.
- Your identity key exists only on your device and can be locked with a YubiKey.
- Screenshots and screen recording cannot capture ZeroMem's window on Windows and Android.
- Emergency destroy works offline and wipes ZeroMem's identity, contacts and Circles from the device at once.
