A messenger that stores nothing
ZeroMem (零憶) is an end-to-end encrypted messenger for Android and Windows, built so that no conversation is left to find afterwards.
No conversation on the device
Messages and files travel encrypted between the two devices. The app never saves a conversation on the device; lock or close it and the conversation is gone from the app. A file you receive is written to disk only if you choose to save it.
Screenshots, screen recording and screen sharing cannot capture ZeroMem's window on Windows or Android.
No messages on the server
The content of messages, files and calls is never on our servers. Neither is your identity key, your passphrase or your contact list. What the servers can see is set out on the homepage under What the server sees.
No message waiting to be delivered
If the other person is offline, the message is not delivered rather than kept somewhere to wait. No queue, no copy. A double tick shows that the other device has the message; one that did not arrive is marked Not delivered, and nothing is resent automatically.
Gone when you say so
- Emergency destroy works offline and wipes ZeroMem's identity, contacts and Circles from the device at once.
- Delete account removes your username from the server and then destroys the identity, contacts and Circles on the device.
